Potato Bread
Instructions

- 2 packages of yeast
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 large potato (or 2/3 c. potato flakes)
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 2 T. to 1/2 (3/4) cup sugar
- 2 t. salt
- 5 to 6 cups flour
- 1/2 cup powdered milk
- Boil peeled potato in water with salt until tender. Whirl potato and water in
- blender. Add butter, sugar, eggs and powdered milk. When mixture is luke-
- warm dissolve yeast in mixture then stir in flour. Knead about 10 minutes.
- Cover and allow to rise until double. Pinch down and allow to rise again. Form
- into loaves (2) to allow to rise until double. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes.
- CINNAMON ROLLS
- Roll out into a rectangle (instead of making into loaves) Inside rolls use 1/2
- cup melted butter, 1 cup sugar and 1 T. of cinnamon. Spread on rolled out
- dough. GLAZE: 1 1/2 cups powdered with a little milk and a little flavoring.
ORANGE ROLLS:
- Use some basic potato recipe, before you add the flour add 3 or 4 Tablespoons
- grated orange peel, 1/4 cup of orange juice. After finished blend 1 Tablespoon
- orange peel, 2 Tablespoon orange juice, 3/4 cup powdered sugar for glaze. In-
- side rolls use 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup butter, grated orange peel.
