Miss Daisy's Beef Casserole
Ingredients
- 2 lbs. Lean ground beef
- 1 cup cubed American Cheese
- 1 cup diced celery
- 1/2 cup green olives chopped
- 1/4 cup diced green pepper
- 1/2 cup black olives chopped
- 3/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
- 1 -29 oz. Can tomatoes
- 1/4 tsp. Pepper
- 1 - 16 oz. Can tomatoes
- 16 oz. Pkg. Egg noodles uncooked
- 1 -8 oz. Can mushroom pieces
- 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
- drained
- 1 8 oz. Can water chestnuts
- drained and sliced
Instructions
- Brown beef. Pour off any accumulated grease. Add celery, green pepper,
- onion and sauté. Add tomatoes and their juice. Add remaining ingredients
- except for the Cheddar cheese. Simmer 20 minutes. Pour into 9 x 13 casse-
- role. Spread Cheddar cheese on top. Bake for 30 minutes in a 350 degree
- oven.
