Chicken Tandoori

Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz. Plain yogurt
  • 1 T. curry powder
  • 1 t. salt
  • 1 t. onion powder
  • 1/2 t. garlic powder
  • 1/2 t. sugar
  • 3 lbs. Chicken parts

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl combine yogurt, curry powder, salt, onion and garlic powders
  • and
  • sugar. Stir until blended. Add chicken; turn to coat completely. Cover and
  • refrigerate for 1 - 2 hours. Place chicken on a rack over slow burning coals.
  • Grill until cooked through, about 45 minutes, turning often and brushing occa-
  • sionally with marinade. Or, place chicken, skin side up, in a single layer in a
  • baking
  • pan.
  • Pour remaining sauce evenly over chicken. Bake uncovered, in a
  • preheated 350 degree oven until chicken is cooked through, about 45 minutes.
