Chicken Tandoori
Ingredients
- 8 oz. Plain yogurt
- 1 T. curry powder
- 1 t. salt
- 1 t. onion powder
- 1/2 t. garlic powder
- 1/2 t. sugar
- 3 lbs. Chicken parts
Instructions
- In a large bowl combine yogurt, curry powder, salt, onion and garlic powders
- and
- sugar. Stir until blended. Add chicken; turn to coat completely. Cover and
- refrigerate for 1 - 2 hours. Place chicken on a rack over slow burning coals.
- Grill until cooked through, about 45 minutes, turning often and brushing occa-
- sionally with marinade. Or, place chicken, skin side up, in a single layer in a
- baking
- pan.
- Pour remaining sauce evenly over chicken. Bake uncovered, in a
- preheated 350 degree oven until chicken is cooked through, about 45 minutes.
