Red Cherry Pie
Ingredients
- 3/4 to 1 cup sugar
- 4 T. flour
- 1/4 t. almond extract
- 2 T. butter
- 1/2 t. cinnamon
- 2 1/2 cup sour red cherries and juice
Instructions
- Combine first 4 ingredients in saucepan, stir in cherries and juice. Cook
- over moderate heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils.
- Pour into pastry-lined 9 inch crust. Dot with butter, cover with top crust.
- Bake in 425 degree oven for 30 40 minutes.
