Chocolate Pecan Pie

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pkg. 4 oz. German's Sweet Chocolate
  • 3 T butter
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 cup light com syrup
  • 3 eggs slightly beaten
  • ) 1 vanilla
  • 1 cup. Chopped pecans
  • 1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell

Instructions
 

  • Coffee topping (optional) Melt chocolate and butter in small saucepan over
  • low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Bring sugar and com syrup
  • to boil in separate pan over high heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Reduce
  • heat and boil gently 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and
  • stir in chocolate mixture. Pour slowly over eggs, stirring constantly Stir
  • in
  • vanilla and mix. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 375 degrees for 45-50 - minutes,
  • or until filling is completely puffed across top. Cool. Garnish with Coffee
  • topping.

COFFEE TOPPING:

  • Dissolve 1 teaspoon instant coffee in 1 teaspoon water. Fold into I cup Cool
  • Whip.
