Butterscotch Brownies
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 t. baking powder
- 2 eggs beaten
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1/2 t. vanilla
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3/4 cup pecans chopped
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350 degrees. Sift flour, re-sift with baking powder and salt. Melt
- butter in 1 quart saucepan over low heat, add sugar and stir with wooden spoon
- until smooth. Remove from heat, cool slightly, beat in eggs until well blended.
- Beat in vanilla, then flour mixture until smooth. Stir in nuts, spread batter in pre-
- pared pan Bake 20-22 - minutes or until barely done. Use 8 x 8 x 2 pan.
