Heat oven to 350 degrees. Sift flour, re-sift with baking powder and salt. Melt
butter in 1 quart saucepan over low heat, add sugar and stir with wooden spoon
until smooth. Remove from heat, cool slightly, beat in eggs until well blended.
Beat in vanilla, then flour mixture until smooth. Stir in nuts, spread batter in pre-
pared pan Bake 20-22 - minutes or until barely done. Use 8 x 8 x 2 pan.
