Course Cakes and Frostings

Ingredients
  

CAKE:

  • 1 box German chocolate cake mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup Crisco oil
  • 1 cup water

FILLING BETWEEN LAYERS:

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 23 large marshmallows
  • 1 lb coconut

ICING:

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 T. cocoa
  • 3 T corn syrup
  • 1 stick margarine

Instructions
 

  • Mix all ingredients and put in 3 round cake pans.
  • Bake as instructed.

FILLING BETWEEN LAYERS:

  • Boil milk and sugar for 1 minute.
  • Add marshmallows, stir until smooth and melted.
  • Add coconut.
  • Cool and spread between layers.

ICING:

  • Cook until done and whip before frosting cake.
