Ingredients
  

  • 2 3/4 cup confectionery sugar
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 T. light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 2 T. lemon juice
  • 1 T. grated lemon peel

Instructions
 

  • Mix sugar, salt, and egg. Blend in syrup. Add shortening, vanilla, lemon juice
  • and lemon peel, mixing until smooth and creamy. Add more sugar to thicken
  • or
  • water to thin frosting, if required, until spreading consistency.
