Caramel Nut Pound Cake
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup Crisco
- 1 box brown sugar
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
- 3 cup cake flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking power
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup pecans
- 5 eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
Instructions
- Cream butter and brown sugar and Crisco, adding a little at a time. Beat well.
- Add granulated sugar. Beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs, beat one at a time.
- Beat
- for 3 minutes. Sift together flour, salt and baking powder. Add, alternating
- the milk and sifted ingredients. Then add vanilla and nuts. Bake in 10 inch tube
- pan for 90 minutes at 325 degrees.
