In a large mixer bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a
time, beating well after each addition. Sift together cake flour, salt, soda and
nutmeg and add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk. Beat until
well blended. Stir in chopped walnuts. Pour into a greased and lightly
floured 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 - 60 minutes.
Let set 15 minutes in pan then turn out.
