softened

shortening

baking powder

milk

vanilla

black walnuts
chopped
Instructions
Beat butter, shortening and sugar at medium speed for about 2 minutes. Add
eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine flour and baking
powder. Add flour and milk alternately, blending after each addition.
Remem-
ber to begin and end with the flour mixture. Stir in walnuts and flavorings. Pour
into a 10-inch greased tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Cool in pan for 10 - 15 minutes.
