Ingredients

self-rising flour
sift twice
1 3/4
cup
sugar

oil

eggs

t.
cinnamon
1/2
t.
vanilla

cup
pecans
chopped
2
cups
diced apples
Instructions
Cream sugar and eggs. Add other ingredients and beat well. Cook 40 to 45
minutes at 350 degrees.
TOPPING:
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter milk
1 t. vanilla
1/2 stick butter
1/2 t. soda
Put all this in double boiler when you put cake in the oven. Do not turn on until
about 7 minutes before cake is done, then bring to a hard boil and cook until a
soft ball forms in a cup of cold water. When cake is done punch holes with
toothpick and pour over cake.
