Chocolate Pecan Pie
Ingredients
- 1 pkg. 4 oz. German's Sweet Chocolate
- 3 T butter
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 cup light com syrup
- 3 eggs slightly beaten
- ) 1 vanilla
- 1 cup. Chopped pecans
- 1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell
Instructions
- Coffee topping (optional) Melt chocolate and butter in small saucepan over
- low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Bring sugar and com syrup
- to boil in separate pan over high heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Reduce
- heat and boil gently 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and
- stir in chocolate mixture. Pour slowly over eggs, stirring constantly Stir
- in
- vanilla and mix. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 375 degrees for 45-50 - minutes,
- or until filling is completely puffed across top. Cool. Garnish with Coffee
- topping.
COFFEE TOPPING:
- Dissolve 1 teaspoon instant coffee in 1 teaspoon water. Fold into I cup Cool
- Whip.
