Butterscotch Brownies

Ingredients
  

  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 t. baking powder
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 1/2 t. vanilla
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup pecans chopped

Instructions
 

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees. Sift flour, re-sift with baking powder and salt. Melt
  • butter in 1 quart saucepan over low heat, add sugar and stir with wooden spoon
  • until smooth. Remove from heat, cool slightly, beat in eggs until well blended.
  • Beat in vanilla, then flour mixture until smooth. Stir in nuts, spread batter in pre-
  • pared pan Bake 20-22 - minutes or until barely done. Use 8 x 8 x 2 pan.
