Caramel Nut Pound Cake

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup Crisco
  • 1 box brown sugar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 3 cup cake flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking power
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup pecans
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla

Instructions
 

  • Cream butter and brown sugar and Crisco, adding a little at a time. Beat well.
  • Add granulated sugar. Beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs, beat one at a time.
  • Beat
  • for 3 minutes. Sift together flour, salt and baking powder. Add, alternating
  • the milk and sifted ingredients. Then add vanilla and nuts. Bake in 10 inch tube
  • pan for 90 minutes at 325 degrees.
