angel Biscuits
Ingredients
- Shirley's Home Economics Recipe
- 5 cups sifted self-rising flour
- 1 cup shortening
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 1 package dry yeast
- 2 cups milk (2/3 cup powdered milk and
- 1 1/2 cup warm water)
Instructions
- Sift flour and sugar into large mixing bowl. Cut shortening into dry ingredients.
- Dissolve yeast in warm water for 5 minutes and add to mixture. Add milk and
- stir
- to
- dough stage. Place on floured surface and roll to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut
- with biscuit cutter and place on greased baking pan. Let rise at room tempera-
- ture for 1/2 hour. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes.
