Mow-Maw's Sugar Cookies
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups plain flour sifted
- 1 t. baking soda
- 1/8 t. salt
- 1/2 cup butter and 1/2 cup shortening Mow-maw used all butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 t. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 2 T. milk
Instructions
- Sift first 3 ingredients together.
- Cream together butter, sugar, egg and vanilla
- Mix with dry ingredients, stir in milk.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls on baking sheet.
- Dip bottom of cup in sugar and mash cookies flat.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
