Graham Cracker Bars

Ingredients
  

BARS:

  • 30 whole graham crackers
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups coconut
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup pecan chopped

FROSTING:

  • 1 stick margarine
  • 4 T Cream or Evaporated Milk
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 t vanilla

Instructions
 

BARS:

  • Combine in saucepan, egg, sugar, milk and margarine.
  • Cook on low heat until it boils, stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Add coconut, nuts and graham cracker crumbs.
  • Spread over crackers in pan.
  • Cover quickly with remaining crackers and press into filling.
  • Frost crackers.
  • Refrigerate for 24 hours.

FROSTING:

  • Mix all ingredients well.
