Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 3 cup sugar
  • 3 cup cake flour or plain
  • 8 eggs
  • 1/2 t. soda
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 8 oz. Sour cream

Instructions
 

  • Cream shortening and sugar, add egg yolks, then add flour and soda, sour cream
  • alternately. Add vanilla, beat egg whites until stiff. Fold in egg whites. Put in
  • well greased tube pan. Bake at 300-325 - degree oven for 1 hour and 20 min-
  • utes.
