Coca-Cola Cake
This was Shirley's favorite cake
Ingredients
CAKE:
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1 stick butter
- 1 cup coke
- 3 T. cocoa
- 2 cups Plain flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 t. soda
- pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 2 eggs beaten
- 1 t. vanilla
- 2 cups. Marshmallows
ICING:
- 1 stick butter
- 3 T cocoa
- 6 T coke
- 1 box powdered sugar
- 1 t vanilla
- 1 cup chopped nuts
Instructions
CAKE:
- In a saucepan bring to boil cocoa, oil, coke and butter. Remove from heat, add
- flour, sugar, salt, and soda and beat well. Add 1/2 cup buttermilk, vanilla and
- eggs. Put in 13 x 9 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Remove from
- oven and put 2 cups marshmallow on cake while hot.
ICING:
- Bring to boil cocoa, coke and butter.
- Remove from heat.
- Add sugar, nuts, and vanilla
- Put on cake while hot.
